We provide legal services with your business needs as the starting point

The energy sector is at an interesting turning point, as renewable energy sources are steadily replacing fossil-based production methods. Clean energy production provides a foundation for new, sustainable industries. Finland has a unique opportunity to become a model country for sustainable industry, provided that its energy infrastructure can meet the growing demand and its attractiveness remains high.

The energy transition had a significant impact on my own career when I joined Finland's largest distribution network company, Caruna, as a legal counsel in spring 2015. The Electricity Market Act had recently been reformed, and the company had become an independent entity only a few months earlier after separating from Fortum. We boldly began developing efficient and innovative operating models that took regulation, the regulatory incentive framework, and technical constraints into account. We also integrated these elements into the company's contractual processes. Developing the business in the early stages of an independent company was highly instructive and inspiring.

n 2019, I moved to the contractor side at Destia, which was making a strong strategic push into the energy sector. I worked, among other roles, as the legal counsel for the project team in the construction of Finland's largest wind farm, with contract negotiations and execution spanning nearly three years. We also developed new and innovative business models for the infrastructure sector in support of the clean energy transition.

Towards global expansion

Gradually, the idea of entrepreneurship and a service platform focused on the energy sector began to take shape in my mind. I founded Skyline Legal in 2023, and by autumn 2024 we were ready to launch the energiajuristi.fi website.

Energiajuristi.fi brings the legal services of large corporations within reach of smaller operators through an outsourced in-house legal model. Our services support network companies and utilities-sector procurement entities, taking into account the specific characteristics of the industry and their role within the broader energy sector. We manage all processes related to contracts, procurement, and corporate governance on your behalf, while ensuring alignment with your business objectives. This allows you to focus on what you do best—delivering your core services.
